Its a winter wonderland in the Peace Region today.
Most areas of the Peace have been blanked by a few centimetres of snow following a storm on Friday. In Fort St. John over 4cm of snow has fallen since Friday and over 9.4mm of rain. In Dawson Creek Environment Canada doesn’t keep track of snowfall, but over all they had over 36mm of precipitation. Dawson Creek received the most precipiation in the province on Friday.
We still could see more snow today as the snowfall warning is still in effect for the entire BC Peace Region. A vigorous low over Northern Alberta is producing an unseasonably cold northeasterly flow over the Peace region this morning. Fort St. John and eastern sections of the B.C. Peace River region are expected to receive an additional 2 to 4 cm before the snow tapers off near midday.

The snow has caused the Fort St. John Mixed Slow Pitch Society to delay the start of the annual Ice Breaker Tournament to Sunday. Teams will be notified of the changed schedule. If you know of anything else that has been affected by the weather, email email@example.com
