The Fort St. John RCMP have released the name of a the man involved in a fatal stabbing on Thursday.

Joshua James Lequiere was found sitting in the driver’s seat of a parked vehicle. Lequiere was stabbed and later died at the Fort St. John Hospital.

Just after six o’clock in the morning, police received a report of a disturbance in an apartment parking lot on 93rd A Street.

There’s no indication from police that a dog team assisted search, of a nearby wooded area, turned up a suspect. Sgt. Rob Vermeulen stated the RCMP won’t be releasing any further information about the case as the investigation is still on-going.
