Residents looking to beautify an area of the city can come out Saturday.

“Art in the Garden” will take place at the Fort St. John community garden at 102 Ave. and 94 St. between 12 and 4 p.m.

Tara O’Donnell from the Arts Council says participants of all ages can paint planters, picnic tables and benches and other surfaces to decorate the space.

The Friendship Centre and Artspace at the cultural centre, the Big Brothers and Big Sisters in partnership with Urban Systems and the Baldonnel School all painted additional rocks and planters for the event.

Paint and paint brushes will be supplied and parking will be available near the garden on 102 Ave.
