The proposed Site C project appears to have the Regional District members confused about their roles.
At the Peace River Regional District meeting on Thursday, Director Arthur Hadland says that after a meeting with the government liaison committee, he did not believe there would be an objective analysis of the results from the consultation process.
"I talked about truth and transparency and ability to trust, and I did say I was willing to try and trust, but I don’t trust the process at all," Hadland said at the meeting.
The Directors had discussed becoming interveners in the process so that any concerns they have would be formally included and answered.
Discussion involved determining how the environmental process works as well as clearly defining their individual roles.
They passed a motion to discuss their roles and the process at the next PRRD meeting on June 24 in Dawson Creek.
