A 55 year-old man is dead following a motor vehicle collision Tuesday night.

The accident occurred north of Wembley, on Township Road 742 between Range Roads 93 and 94.  A truck operated by a male was traveling west on Township Road 724 and the car operated by the deceased was traveling east bound.

The two vehicles collided on the roadway, the pickup rolled coming to a rest in the north ditch and the car rolled into the south ditch.

The drivers of both the car and the truck are from Beaverlodge.  The driver and two other occupants of the truck were taken to a local hospital suffering from minor injuries.

Police do not believe speed or alcohol contributed to the collision.  A RCMP traffic analyst attended the scene and will continue their investigation.
