Garth Campbell of GP won the Challenge Cup mountain bike race in Grande Prairie, Sunday. He did the 3 lap event in a time of 45:55 minutes. Justin Pio (GP) was second at 48:02 and Leonard Schasback (GP) was third at 48:20. Gary Hilderman was first Blizzard across at 48:44 and Pat Ferris 5th at 49:53.

Other times were Tyler Stadyk (GP) at 50:10, Brad Tomlinson (GP) 54:33 and Kevin Shaw 57:25.

Dave Jaeger had 41:14 for 2 laps. Steve Magusin and Neil Mackenzie, both of GP had 21:30 for 1 lap.

GP won the day with 51 points to the Blizzards 14. GP now is back in the Challenge Cup lead with 164 points to the Blizzards 136 and Dawson Creeks’ 68 with three races to go in the series.

Thanks to Steve Magusin for putting the race together!

No word at press time how Blaine Richter and Geoff McDonald of GP, Stephen Ferris, Colter Young, Robert Martens and Peter King of the Blizzards did in the Banff Stage race.
