Lou Legault claimed victory in the 2010 Oilmen’s golf tournament on Saturday, beating 2009 champion Travis Eggers in the 18-hole match play final.

Legault captured his first Oilmen’s title thanks to match-play wins over Blayne Streeper, Ian Munro, John Ross, and Travis Eggers.

“It feels awesome” Legault said after his victory. “Having worked here for a number of years, and hauling kegs around and cleaning up garbage, and now to actually play and win it feels really good.” “I felt like I drove the ball real well this week” he said of his play, adding “I made some clutch par putts when I needed them.”

Newcomer Blayne (Buddy) Streeper won the consolation event in the championship flight, after a win over Justin McKinnon on Saturday.
