Search continues in fatal hit and run

Despite a police hunt that has now extended over three weeks, the RCMP hasn’t located either the suspect vehicle or driver, in last month’s fatal hit and run incident in Fort St. John.

A 14 year-old boy was killed, while riding his bicycle southbound, on 76th street, with two friends.

He attempted to cross 89th avenue, and collided with a west bound vehicle which has been described as red, with possible passenger side damage.

The inexact description also refers to it as “boxy,” and it is not believed to be either a car or pick-up truck.

The incident occurred at approximately 7.35PM, on May 11th, and police continue to take public information assistance calls at 250-787-8140 and 1-800-222-8477.
