Vander Zalm and Pimm on HST

The Fight HST Boss is accusing the Fraser Institute of dealing in half truths with its report on the tax benefits to low income BC residents from the blended sales tax.

Bill Vander Zalm says the Institutes’s recently published report is so filled with holes it brings into question the credibility of the entire organization.

He claims there are volumes of information regarding both the pros and cons of value added taxes in Europe but the think tank didn’t even give a cursory glance to this information and its report is full of errors and sloppiness.

Meantime, in a guest appearance yesterday on Issues and Answers Peace River North MLA, Pat Pimm, offered his response to the news that he is now one of the 24 Liberal MLA’s on the fight-HST recall hit list…

Here’s part of what he had to say…

The petition is now nearing the 700,000 mark, and Mr. Vander Zalm is confident, he’ll have that many signatures before he delivers it to Elections BC next Wednesday.

The former Socred Premier says no decision has yet been made on the order in which the MLA’s will be targeted.
