Drive-by shooting at Cheers

One man has been injured after a drive-by shooting at the Cheers Pub in Fort St. John.

The shooting occurred just after 11:30 p.m., Wednesday. Police say the man suffered non-life threatening injuries but they believe it was a targeted attack.

The man was taken to the Fort St. John hospital for treatment.

The Fort St. John RCMP is asking for the public’s assistance in providing more information about the shooting. Witnesses described the car from which the shooting took place as dark in colour.

Police are looking to speak with the owners of vehicles in the area that may have been damaged as a result of the shooting, including a newer orange Dodge pickup truck.
