Liberal government spends more money in the northeast

Peace River North MLA Pat Pimm has confirmed a series of provincial government Northeast BC expenditures totalling more than four and a half million dollars.

They include more than two million for a contract for DGS Astro of Fort St. John, for upgrading, strengthening and paving nearly five kilometers of the local area Toews and Daneluk side roads.


Another 1.9 million will go to improved heating efficiency at six schools in the Peace River North and Peace River South school districts.

Finally, the government will also put just over 500 thousand dollars toward public safety initiatives and municipal services, into the Peace River North Constituency.

In this case, Fort St. John, Taylor, Hudson’s Hope, and the Northern Rockies Regional District are all listed among the beneficiaries.
