Music boards FSJ transit

The second installment of “Music that Moves You” will be taking music to the buses on Wednesday.

The new event in Fort St. John will run from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and anyone can go out to listen to local musicians and get a free ride.

Residents can ride a city transit bus from the North Peace Cultural Centre or get on or off at point along the Southside Route.

The city was declared Northern BC’s music capital in 2009 and Mayor Bruce Lantz says the event will give the public a chance to see local musicians in person, as well as promote the use of public transit itself.

The third part of the event will run on August 18.
