The Dawson Creek RCMP has announced several drug-related arrests in the city.
The first occurred on June 17, 2010 when police executed a search warrant at a man’s house, who was well known to police and was out on bail.
Police seized cocaine, a weapon, and thousands of dollars in cash. The 20 year-old man was charged with five offences and a 20 year-old woman was charged with possession with the purpose of trafficking.
The second incident occurred on July 2, 2010 when police arrested a 38 year-old female Dawson Creek resident who was delivering drugs in a stolen car.
Ecstasy tablets, cocaine and thousands of dollars in cash were taken from the vehicle. The woman was charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking and being in possession of the proceeds of a crime.
A male was also charged with possession of a different stolen vehicle and was released, but he is currently not allowed to be in the city of Dawson Creek.
The third incident occurred on July 14 when police stopped a drug deal in progress and seized cocaine. A search warrant was then executed at a residence and police arrested three men and seized cocaine, crack cocaine, marijuana, and thousands of dollars in cash.
One man was charged with possession of cocaine. A second man was charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking. A third man was charged with possession of proceeds of crime and a fourth man was charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of marijuana and being in possession of the proceeds of a crime.
All four men are residents of Dawson Creek within their twenties.
The RCMP has not released the names of the people who were arrested.
