Over 230km of rumble strips have now been installed on highways in Northern BC.
The Province announced Friday that the project should improve road safety as the rumble strips have been proven to prevent off-road collisions.
In Northeastern BC rumble strips were installed on Highway 97 in the following locations.
* Road 271 to Mile 54 in Fort St. John
* Highway 29 north to Mile 83 in Fort St. John
* Mile 6 Passing Lane in Dawson Creek
* Mile 12 Passing Lane in Dawson Creek
The cost of the improvements in Northern BC was over $130,000 and split between ICBC and the Province.
