Feds and province paying for FSJ road work

The Province is helping to pay for road work in the Fort St. John area.

Through the Infrastructure Stimulus Fund, the Province is contributing $2.75 million to a $5 million road works project.

The federal government will provide the remaining funding through its Infrastructure Stimulus Fund

The project will include paving five kilometres of the Ferry Rd. and patching roads in the Milligan, Beatton River, Prespatou, and Buick Creek areas.

This overall project is expected to be completed by March 1, 2011.

It is one of 21 road works projects happening across the province, with $42 million in funding from the province and an estimated creation of 270 jobs.
