The Grande Prairie RCMP is searching for a suspect that tried to rob a convenience store early Tuesday morning.

Police say the man went into the convenience store on 100 Street and 105 Avenue just after 3 a.m.

The suspect is approximately 5’5’’, has tattoos on both his arms and short, blondish/grayish hair and a moustache. His index finger on his right hand is amputated.

He was wearing a black AC/DC t-shirt and black shorts at the time. The man also has stuttered speech.

Anyone with information on this incident is asked to call Grande Prairie RCMP Detachment at 780-830-5700 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
