OSB set to resume production after fire

The fire that began in the dry bin area at the OSB plant Monday night is still being investigated.

The cause has not yet been determined, says General Manager Don Soderlund, adding that the company has brought in a couple of failure analysis experts to help understand what occurred.

Although fire crews spent the night and early morning battling the blaze, Soderlund says the overall damage was actually minimal.

He adds that production is expected to resume on Saturday.

Soderlund says customers have not been affected, because current orders were filled through inventory and one was supplied by an OSB sister mill.
