Police arrest three in Beatton River assault

Three people have been arrested after an assault at the Beatton River on July 25.

Fort St. John RCMP say the three people were known to police and remain in custody.

A 20 year-old man and a 16 year-old youth have been charged with assault with a weapon. Both are from Fort St. John and are scheduled to appear in court Tuesday.

The third person is a 21 year-old man from Fort St. John who has been charged with nine offences, including robbery and assault with a weapon.

Police say they are planning to arrest a fourth person in connection with the incident but that he has not been located.

The names of all those involved are being withheld until they appear in court.
