Police investigate suspicious Chetwynd fires

The Chetwynd RCMP are asking for the public’s assistance in their investigation into fires that were set approximately 5 km south of the City on Highway 29.

Between 5 and 7 p.m., Tuesday, police say multiple fires were started.

The fire department was able to extinguish the fires before any properties were seriously damaged, but police say the fires were very suspicious.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Chetwynd RCMP at 250-788-9221 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
