RCMP arrest three known high risk offenders

The Fort St. John RCMP have recently made several arrests of repeat offenders that have recently arrived in our community.

On August 18th, the RCMP arrested 33 year-old Ryan Todd Malow at a local liqour establishment for failing to comply with court ordered conditions imposed upon him during his most recent release from custody.  Malow, who recently moved to Fort St John from the Chilliwack area, has been remanded in custody to face the new charge. Malow’s next court appearance is August 27, 2010.

20 year-old, Dusten Peter Hensley was arrested on August 19, 2010, at a local liquor establishment and is now facing a new charge of Obstruct Peace Officer for providing the police with a false name.  Hensley, as well a new resident of Fort St John from the Chilliwack area, was remanded in custody to appear again in court on August 23, 2010.

28 year-old, Christopher John Nash was arrested on August 20, 2010, for Failing to Comply with the court ordered conditions imposed upon him during his most recent release from custody. Nash is charged with the Fail to Comply as well as Resist Arrest in relation to the August 20th arrest. Nash, as well had just recently moved to Fort St John from the Chilliwack area. Nash has been remanded in custody with his next court appearance of August 23, 2010.

These three males were previously known to police as prolific offenders in the Chilliwack area and are believed to be involved in the drug trade.  The charges come as a result of the Fort St. John RCMP’s dedication to enforcement actions against persons who are committing crime in our city. The General Duty Policing Section has assisted the Drug Section, Crime Reduction Unit and Serious Crime Section in their ongoing efforts to target known repeat and high risk offenders, and drug dealers in the Fort St. John area.
