The Chetwynd RCMP are asking for the public’s help after an assault on a female medic.

On August 23rd, the medic was working along Stewart Lake Road when she was approached by two males on a quad. Police say one of the men dismounted his ATV and assaulted the victim. Both men then fled the scene.

The offending suspect is described as a caucasian male, approximately 40-50 years old with short brown hair and a moustache. His companion – who remained on the quad during the assault – is described as a male in his mid 20’s. Both were reportedly wearing hunting gear at the time.

Anyone with information that could prove useful in the investigation is asked to call the Chetwynd RCMP detachment at 250-788-9221, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
