Event invites residents to eat local food

Fort St. John residents are being encouraged to take a bite out of locally harvested food from the Peace Region.

Fall Harvest Taste of the Town will take place between Sept. 20 and 25 at various restaurants around the city.

Six local restaurants will be incorporating various local items into their dishes, including produce and meats.

The restaurants are Uptown Grill, Whole Wheat & Honey Café, Tim & Tyc’s, Patch Java, Jackfish Dundee’s and CJ’s Java.

Full menus for the event will be posted shortly on the City’s website at www.fortstjohn.ca.

Interested residents can visit any of the participating restaurants or pop into the Visitor Centre for more information.
