A mobile home caught fire in an industrial yard early Wednesday morning in Fort St. John.

The fire department received the call just after 5:15 a.m. and found the unoccupied modular home engulfed in flames.

Fire Chief Fred Burrows says it took several hours to put out the blaze in the trailer, which had been left in a commercial lot in the area of 100 St. and 85 Ave.

He added that no other items in the yard were ever in danger of catching fire.

The fire is considered suspicious and police were also on scene to investigate.
