Fort Nelson man gets 1 year for dealing pot

A Fort Nelson man has been sentenced to a full year in prison, for marijuana trafficking.

The North District Regional Investigation Section, along with the Fort Nelson RCMP, arrested James Beck in June, after receiving numerous tips from the public.

Throughout their investigation, police say they seized more than 120 grams of marijuana that the suspect had allegedly sold.

On August 18th, Beck pleaded guilty to four counts relating to marijuana trafficking. He was sentenced to 365 days in prison, and also received ten-year firearms prohibition.
