Grande Prairie RCMP make fall harvest

Grande Prairie RCMP have seized 700 marijuana plants found on crown land south west of the community.

On Saturday Sep. 25, 2010 officers harvested the crop located on crown land on the south side of the Wapiti River near the pulp and paper mill. Police say the plants were at various stages of growth and in an area only accessible by boat.

There is no one currently charged in relation to the crop, and police are asking for the public’s assistance for information in this regard.
The crop is estimated at a potential value of $700,000.
