Wonowon home destroyed by fire

A home near Wonowon has been completely destroyed after a fire late Wednesday night.

Fort St. John RCMP responded to a call about house fire at Mile 103 of the Alaska Highway at around 11:30 p.m.

Police say when they arrived, the structure was fully engulfed in flames. The homeowners were not at the residence when the fire began.

Police are continuing their investigation into the incident and have not yet determined the cause of the blaze or where it started. They say the structure was located outside the fire protection zone.
