2010 Energy Conference coming to Fort St. John

The City of Fort St. John will be hosting the 2010 Energy Conference from Oct. 12-14.

The Conference hopes to bring a global perspective to energy issues and initiatives and will include presentations and panel discussions from key stakeholders from the energy industry. The panel will include elected and government officials as well as members from local First Nations groups.

Fort St. John City Councillor Lori Ackerman says that this conference is in many ways a celebration.

The event is held annually in Northeastern B.C. and provides excellent networking opportunities for those who choose to attend. Councillor Ackerman says the presentation titled "Oil and Gas 101" should help to shed light to those not entirely informed about the industry.
