According to court documents, Gerry Lafleur is named as the person facing three charges in the hit and run death of Nora Gallifer last week.
Fort St. John RCMP Sergent Steve Perret says Lafleur is accused of driving the vehicle that backed up into the 87 year-old woman, pinning her against her husband’s vehicle, last Wednesday.
Lafleur is charged with dangerous driving causing death, failure to stop at an accident and operating a motor vehicle while disqualified.
Perret says the last charge stems from Lafleur driving a vehicle after he had his licence revoked by the courts after facing a previous driving incident.
Meanwhile, the accused in three separate robberies around the City of Fort St. John has been named.
Douglas Goodings is facing three counts of robbery stemming from robberies at Veronica’s Closet, Econo Liquor and Rosco’s Pub.
Both men had their first court appearances in Fort St. John, Monday.
