Huskies are 4-0 on the season

The Huskies perfect season continues after an exciting 4-3 victory over Dawson Creek.
Luke McInerney scored the game winning goal with 57 seconds remaining to win the game in dramatic fashion for the pups.

The Huskies started out fast and it was their new acquisition, Jackson Glass, who made his presence felt early. He scored the first goal on the power play just over a minute into the first toigive the Huskies a 1-0 lead. Dawson Creek responded quickly to knot the game 1-1 and that is how things stood leaing into the first intermission.

Kole Norris scored the second goal for the Huskies in the second, but once again Dawson Creek responded with a quick goal to tie the game 2-2. The Huskies managed to pull ahead 3-2 shortly before the end of the period on a beautiful goal by Robbie Sidhu.

Dawson Creek once again responded to match the pups 3-3 midway through the third. The game was very physical with the Huskies laying a lot of big hits on the Jr. Canucks.

It looked like the game might be headed to overtime, until McInerney scored the game winner on a goal that Dawson Creek goalie Tyson York certainly wishes he could have back. Ty Gullickson made a key save late in the game to preserve the lead and the pups walked away for the victory.
Gullickson was named player of the game for the Huskies and had a very solid night between the pipes. Next up for the Huskies is back to back games against Whitecourt. Game starts at 8pm on Saturday and 2pm on Sunday. Head down to North Peace Arena to cheer on the Huskies.
