Huskies weekend in review

It was a disappointing weekend for the Fort St. John Huskies over the weekend.

While the Huskies were able to defeat Dawson Creek 4-3 on Friday night, they dropped the following two games to the Whitecourt Wolverines. On Saturday the Huskies fell 7-0 to the Wolverines in what was a very disappointing game for the team. Head Coach Bob Kalb was extremely disappointed in the quality of the refereeing during the game and called out the officials in his post game interview.

Huskies forward Luke McInerney added that he thinks that the team needs to play with more discipline.

Then on Sunday the Huskies dropped their second game in a row to the Wolverines. While the effort was definitely improved over their game on Saturday, the result remained the same with a 5-2 loss. Assistant Coach Jeremy Clothier thought he saw a much improved game out of the team.

Next up for the Huskies is a road game in Peace River on Saturday. Catch the game live on Moose FM.
