Local female entrepreneur wins national award

 

Out of 100 women, local entrepreneur Sandra Minifie was placed 21st in a ranking of female entrepreneurs in Canada by PROFIT Magazine.

Minifie is the CEO of Action Health and Safety Services, a business that was also recognized by PROFIT magazine as one of the fastest growing in Canada.

The PROFIT W100 ranking and awards program is recognized as Canada’s largest celebration of the entrepreneural achievements of women. The list is based on a formula that recognizes the size, growth and profitability of the respective companies.

Minifie recently spoke at the Enform Petroleum Safety Conference in Fort St. John to over 100 industry and safety professionals. She was to chosen to speak on the topic of leadership related to the oil and gas industry.

Minifie stated that she is "proud of this accomplishment and encourages other women in business in the Peace Country to pursue their entrepreneural dreams.
