Moose FM presents Doc Walker at the North Peace Cultural Centre this Thursday October 21, 2010.
Fresh from the 2010 Canadian Country Music Awards (CCMA), the guys will be playing many songs from their new CD, “Go”, including their CCMA nominated, “If I Fall” as well as many old favorites. Their appearance in Fort St. John is just prior to the Western Canadian Music Awards where their album “Go” is up for Country Recording of the Year and the band’s Chris Thorsteinson, Dave Wasilyw and Murray Pulver are co-nominees for the Songwriter(s) of the Year Award.
Jayme Knyx just announced as the opening act for Doc Walker’s show at the Cultural Centre! Over the past year Jayme has been invited to perform on stage with some of today’s biggest and hottest stars…The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Aaron Pritchett, Sean Hogan, Duane Steele, Steve Fox and Samantha King to name few. In the Xmas 2008 Sean Hogan invited Jayme to play with him on the Canadian Country Christmas Tour. In January 2010 Jayme was honored to have been selected to headline at the 2010 Winter Olympic Torch Celebration at a sold out EnCana Event Centre. We are excited to have Jayme perform at the Cultural Centre for his very first time.
