Multicultural Photography Contest in Fort St. John

SUCCESS, Fort St. John is asking residents to take pictures representing cultural diversity in the city for the Multicultural Photography Contest.

People from all over the world make the Peace Region their home and SUCCESS would like residents to celebrate this by capturing everyday moments in the city. They want pictures of different cultures living, playing and working together.

The winner will be awarded a Kodak camera. Winning photos will be on display at a cultural event in Fort St. John in 2011. The winner will be announced at the Community in Colour event on Nov. 6 at Whole Wheat & Honey.

There are two categories for this contest. One is for photographers aged 12-18. The other is for photographers over the age of 18. The prize for the 12-18 category is a Kodak Digital Easyshare camera. The prize for the 18 and older category is a Kodak Playsport video camera.

Deadline for the contest is Nov. 3 at midnight. Those interested should email
Clarice Eckford at [email protected] or call her at 250-785-5323.
