The Northern Pride award was presented to the Chetwynd International Chainsaw Championship which brings people together in the spirit of teamwork and also beautifies the town year round with artwork displayed from the event.

The Northern Advancement award honours an exceptional northerner who has helped to advance tourism in the region. This year it was awarded posthumously to Dan Pakula, the owner of Stikine Riversong and a member of the Stewart-Cassiar Tourism Council.

The Water Smith Visionary Award was presented to Bud Powell. Powell is a member of Dawson Creek city council and is considered a champion of tourism in North Eastern B.C. He was instrumental in helping to found Tourism Dawson Creek.

Atendees of the annual general meeting also voted in their new board of directors and were addressed by Tourism Minister Kevin Krueger.
