Northern Lights College opens its doors to local high school students

Northern Lights College was giving local high school students the opportunity to find out what it would be like to be in college at their "Experience NLC" event.

The event featured grade twelve students from School District 60, and gave them chance to participate in programs and courses being offered at Northern Lights College.

The event began with an address by keynote speaker Mark Sutherland, who is a world professional chuck wagon racer and a representative from Encana. Sutherland wanted to not only convey the qualities of Northern Lights College, but also the importance of obtaining a post-secondary education.
