One person has been injured after his truck rolled down an embankment off of Beatton Airport Road.
Peace Region RCMP Traffic Services say the accident happened north of Fort St. John on Thursday evening at around 7 p.m.
There was one male occupant of the pickup truck that was crossing a bridge. Police say the male lost control of the truck while crossing a bridge and it rolled down an embankment. He was ejected from the vehicle.
The man suffered serious, but non-life threatening injuries and was taken to a Vancouver hospital for treatment.
Police are continuing their investigation but say that the vehicle was probably travelling at a high speed and the male was not wearing a seatbelt when the accident occurred. However, they add that alcohol was probably not a factor in the crash.
The male’s name is not being released but police say he is a resident of the Peace Region.
