Premier Gordon Campbell officially opened the expanded Child Development Centre in Fort St. John.

In 2008, the Child Development Centre began “Project Build-a-Fort” which included a 10,000 square foot expansion and renovation of the old building.

The Premier was joined by Children and Family Development Minister Mary Polak, Minster of Finance Colin Hansen and other local dignitaries for the ribbon cutting.

Just before cutting the ribbon made by the children who attend the CDC, Campbell congratulated the community on the new building.

Children in the four year-old pre-school class were then treated to the story Brown Bear, Brown Bear What do you see? read by the Premier.

The Child Development Centre will hold a grand opening for the entire community on Friday October 22, 2010. The celebration is open to the public and will run from 3:30p to 6:30p.
