Another court date for setting a bail hearing for Jordan Anthony Ramos is adjourned for one week in the Beatton River assault case.
Ramos is charged with nine offences in relation to the violent assault that occurred at the Beatton River Campground on July 25. They include four counts of Assault with a Weapon, single counts of Assault and Robbery, two counts of Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose and one count of Possessing a Firearm while Prohibited.
Ramos remains in jail in Prince George. During a Sept. 15 hearing Ramos was given a list of 30 people he was instructed not to have contact with. That no-contact order has been extended until at least Oct. 20, which is the date of his next hearing.
Ramos informed the court that he has not spoken with his lawyer for two weeks. The judge informed Ramos that he must seek out his counsel or make an effort to speak with duty counsel by the Oct. 20 hearing. The judge also informed Ramos that his attorney must make instructions clear for the upcoming hearing.
