Grande Prairie RCMP are asking for the public’s assistance to identify a suspicious person.

Police say a female driver in a white van approached a 9 year-old girl and 11 year-old boy at around 8:15 local time Friday morning. She then asked them if they wanted a ride but the two children ran away.

The female is described as having darker skin, with black shoulder-length hair. She was the lone occupant of the van that had windows on all sides of the vehicle.
