According to the BC Real Estate Association, home sales in the province have edged up, for the second month in a row.

In this area, the BC Northern Real Estate Board reports sales were up slightly for the first nine months of the year, as compared to 2009.
3,441 sales this year were worth 697 million dollars, an increase of 297 sales and almost 52 million dollars.
In Fort St. John, 523 properties worth more than 140 million dollars changed hands, as compared with 445, worth less than 114 million, for the same period last year.
The average price of a residential detached house in the city, as of last month, was $321,619.
That’s up nearly $24,000 over September of last year, and is easily the top price, among the 15 member communities listed by the board.
The next closest one is Williams Lake at just over $250,000, with the lowest average price in Mackenzie, at less than $92,000.
