The Alaska Highway is closed between Buckinghorse and Prophet River.

The highway will be closed until 6pm Thursday because of a vehicle recovery.

An accident Wednesday afternoon involving a large truck ended up blocking part of the highway. There were no injuries because of the accident, but crews needed to close the highway in-order to clean up the accident scene.
