Award-winning documentary debuting in Fort St. John

 

The Peace Environment and Safety Trustees will be showing the award-winning documentary called ‘Gasland’.

The documentary follows filmmaker Josh Fox from when he is first approached by a natural gas company to lease out his land above the Marcellus Shale area for drilling purposes.

The documentary has won several awards including the 2010 Sundance Film Festival’s Special Jury Prize.

The documentary will be making its public Fort St. John debut next Monday at the North Peace Cultural Centre and Director of Area ‘C’ Arthur Hadland will provide an introduction for the film.

Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. with the movie beginning at 7 p.m. The film is open to anyone from the community and is by donation.
