Bantam 'B' Flyers go 1-1 over the weekend

The Flint Energy Bantam “B” Flyers played 2 All Peace League regular season games over the past weekend. Games results are as follows:

 

Game 1 – Saturday, November 06, 2010

The Fort St. John Flint Energy Bantam “B” Flyers travelled to Grande Cache to play their first regular season All Peace League game. Grande Cache took a 2 – 0 lead after the first period, then added 3 more in the second before James Bowie, with an assist from Aiden Harris got the Flyers on the scoreboard. Grande Cache responded with 2 more to take a commanding 7 – 1 lead after 40 minutes of play. Grande Cache added one more midway through the third period. Bowie netted his second of the game from Bradyn Rouble and Jarod Lang with 2:55 left in regulation. Final Score: Grande Cache 8 – Fort St. John 2.

Game 2 – Sunday, November 07, 2010

The Fort St. John Flint Energy Bantam “B” Flyers hosted the Beaverlodge Blades at the Pomeroy Sport Centre in their second All Peace League game of the season. The Blades opened the scoring at 12:33 of the first period, and took the lead going into the dressing room 1 – 0 after 20 minutes of play. Fort St. John’s Tyler Wood tied it up 4 minutes into the second with an assist from Bradley Dixon. Dixon netted the go ahead goal with 0:38 seconds left in the second period with a pass from Jordan Kosinsky. Dixon scored his second of the game, and the eventual game winner at 15:10 of the third, assisted by James Bowie. Beaverlodge scored their second goal with 7:43 remaining in regulation, but the Flyers held them off to win the game 3 – 2.

The Flint Energy Bantam “B” Flyers next see action on November 20, 2010 when they host LaCrete at the Pomeroy Sport Centre.
