Federal NDP to pick candidate this weekend

The NDP will pick their candidate for Prince George – Peace River Saturday.

The only candidate running for the position is Lois Boone. The former Deputy Premier of B.C., says she will hold the Conservatives to account for ignoring the wishes of British Columbians on the HST and for continuing to delay calling the by-election.

To date the local Conservatives still haven’t set a date to elect the candidate they will put forward in the by-election and Harper hasn’t put forward a date for that by-election.

Former Prince George – Peace River MP Jay Hill stepped down on Oct. 25, 2010.
