Update – Fort St. John-Taylor area power outage

UPDATE #2 – As of about 8:30am, power has been.

UPDATE – BC Hydro now says power won’t be restored in the area until 9am.  Listen to Moose FM for more updates or keep watching this page.

According to BC Hydro’s website, close to 1,300 of its customers in the Fort St. John/Taylor region, lost power at about 20 minutes to five this morning.

Hydro says the impact area is North of Johnstone Road and east of Old Fort LP.

It also estimates service should be restored by 7.30am.

The outage was caused by trees that knocked down wires in the area.
