Peace River MLAs react to Bennett resignation

According to Pat Pimm the Liberals have gone a long way to keep a coalition together.

That’s Pimms reaction to the announcement Bill Bennett has been kicked out of the provincial cabinet.

Finance Minister Colin Hansen made the announcement Wednesday morning in Vancouver, after the Liberal cabinet asked Bennett to resign because he wasn’t participating as a team player.

Pimm says Bennet has been outspoken in recent weeks.

Bennett was promoted to Energy Minister in June shortly after South Peace MLA Blair Lekstrom resigned from the Liberal Caucus.

Lekstrom says he is concerned that this will be the third person to hold that portfolio in the same year.

There is no word on who will replace Bennett as Energy Minister. Lekstrom also stated he would announce on Monday if he will run for the Liberal leadership.
