Police ask people not to travel

The Fort St. John RCMP have responded to numerous complaints of motor vehicle collisions along the Alaska Highway.

This Friday evening, the RCMP believe many of the incidents have been caused by poor road conditions and traveling at speeds not appropriate for the current weather.

The RCMP encourage the public to avoid any unnecessary travel on the highway this evening.  If travel is unavoidable, police remind the public to exercise caution when traveling and allow extra time to reach your destination.
