In the Alberta Peace, an ambulance driver is dead following a two vehicle crash South of Peace River, on Highway Two, west of McLennan.

It occurred shortly after 11 a.m. Monday morning, and preliminary investigation indicates it was the result of a trailer separation from an east bound truck hauling empty propane tanks.

Police say the trailer crossed the centre line of the highway, and struck a westbound Alberta Health Services EMS ambulance.

An undisclosed number of passengers in the ambulance suffered non-life threatening injuries.

There’s no indication in the police report that the truck driver was hurt.
