Our Fort St. John Flyers did not exactly achieve the desired results at Thursday night’s game against Dawson Creek.

Despite the fact the Flyers out shot Dawson Creek 51-34, the Canucks were able to pull off the victory by doubling up on the Flyers by a score of 6-3. Scoring for the Flyers was Adam Horst, who scored twice and Jeff Fast, who added one.

Unfortunately, the team was unable to match the offensive explosion of Canucks’ forward Chris Stevens, who scored a hat trick, securing the teams’ first win of the season over our hometown Flyers.

The Flyers do have a shot at redemption this Saturday at home, as they attempt to even up the home and home series against the Dawson Creek Canucks.

Regardless of the loss, the Flyers currently hold the first place ranking in the league.

The puck drops Saturday at 8 p.m.
