Police say the officer moved his car to the side and away from the other vehicle. However, the driver of the other vehicle followed him. The officer then pulled his car off the road, barely avoiding a collision.

The officer then pulled over the other vehicle and arrested Jason Lemaitre.

The 37 year-old man is facing one count of impaired driving, one count of dangerous driving and one count of operating a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol level over 80mgs per cent.

Lemaitre will have a court appearance in Fox Creek Provincial Court on Jan. 24.
